Tom became a part of Wilkens Weather in 1990 after graduating from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology. His talents are applied in numerous areas ranging from forecasting and tide calculation to client billing. As a youngster in Iowa, Tom developed an interest in weather. "I grew up in the farm belt of America where weather played a vital and sometimes devastating role in the economy," says Tom. By developing his childhood interest, Tom can now empower individuals with advance storm warnings to help minimize damage left behind after a huge storm.
